Advance in research on polycystic ovary syndrome and Type 1 diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder in premenopausal women. It is prevalent in type 2 diabetes (DM2) women who are characterized by insulin resistence. At present, PCOS is also common in women with type 1 diabetes (DM1) who are being treated with superphysiological doses of exogenous insulin. This article mainly reviews the advances of the study in recent years.
